英国でメディカルハーバリストとして実際の現場で活躍する筆者が、３年の月日をかけて完成させた一冊です。
こういう症状には、このハーブ、こういうハーブの組合せ、という処方の仕方に限界があることを指摘し、患者さんの体質や健康状態を理解した上で、その患者さんに合ったハーブを処方することの大切さを説いています。

同類の書籍と違うのは、筆者が筆者自身の経験にもどづき、筆者自身の言葉でハーブの特徴、薬草としての効果、エネルギーとしての働きなどを表現しているため、まるで筆者が直に語りかけている感じがします。だから、実用書なのに分かりやすい、やさしい、堅くない！

ハーブを愛する方々へ、超おススメです。

イギリスで勉強した日本人のメディカルハーバリストが経験を元に実際的なハーブの利用法を記した本です。医療の現場でハーブを用いる時は、ハーブティーではなくチンキ剤（ハーブの有効成分をアルコールで抽出したもの）や煎剤で用いることが多いということが分かります。また私たちはハーブをその名前と効能という形で覚えますが、イギリスのハーバリストはそのハーブのエネルギーを身を以て感じることで学んで行くようです。自分たちが日常で使うハーブとは次元の違うメディカルハーブの実像が伺い知れる１冊です。

日本のハーブショップの店頭では見かけないハーブも多く取り上げられていますが、それらは通販等で入手できます。

ハーブにたいする愛と真摯な姿勢を感じられる本です。
ぜひ植物を学びたい人によんでいただきたい一冊です。

私たちの身近にあるハーブから、今注目のメディカルハーブまで、約90種類のハーブをその特徴から使用法、そして薬効に主要含有成分にいたるまで、英国で活躍するハーバリストの視点からのコラムとレシピはすぐに役立つことうけあいです。
