英語は単語や熟語を覚えてもすぐに忘れていってしまうのですが、この本はたくさんの例文を載せているので何回も練習することになり、かなり頭に残ります。英語で会話をしていて、もどかしいのは気持ちの伝え方。
うまく相手をほめてあげられたら、仕事でも友達とももっともっとうまくいくのにと思っていたところ、この本を見つけました。
英語の本としてだけではなく、ほめ方のテキストとしても使えそうです。

英会話で独特に使われる”ほめ言葉”のフレーズ集です。
英会話をスムーズにするためのセンテンスが、４５の実用的なシーンごとに７５０表現以上載っています。
内容は、まず各場面ごとにダイアローグで一通りの定番表現、例えばUNIT1だったら「赤ちゃんに対するほめ言葉」で、
「You are so beautiful(なんてかわいいの！)」
「Look at that smile(あの笑顔を見て！)」
などをチェックでき、それから各表現ごとに同意の表現、類義の表現が紹介されています。また、その場面で使えるその他の表現も、前述の定番表現同様に紹介されています。
以上のところはCD付きなので、発音も練習でき、会話の実践でも困らないのでは。
また、各場面に関連したボキャブラリーも紹介されているので、さらにほめ言葉に幅をもたせることができそうです。
ところどころにに各UNITに関連したコラムが載っていて、それも楽しめます。
この本で英会話独特の”ほめ言葉”をマスターすれば、英語でスムーズにコミュニケーションがとれるのではないかと思います。

外国人の方と話していると、よく褒めてきますよね。
言葉にして気持ちを伝えるって大切だな。と気づかされるので、
この本で、自分の中のほめ言葉の種類を沢山増やして、
言われた褒め言葉をすぐに理解して、また返せるようになりました。

シーン別に書いてあるので、ニュアンスがよくわかって、
英語の感覚がより解るようになりました。
お勧めします！！
