CDは基本的にネットで購入するのですが、つい先日ショップを覗いたらこれがあり、思わず懐かしさにかられて購入しました。

「芸能山城組」は、前身の「鳩の会」当時から日本にブルガリアン・ヴォイスを広め、その後、ケチャのパファーマンスで有名になりました。世界の民族音楽の多様性を知らしめた集団です。山城祥二氏が1974年1月19日に設立し、主宰したわけで、発表されたLPの数々は、臨場感あふれる録音の良さとユニークな音楽活動記録ということから話題になりました。「芸能山城組」は今も活動を続けており、ケチャも体験できるわけで、その歩みは日本の「合唱」の考え方を大きく広げたものでした。

これは『芸能山城組入門』となっていますが、1976年から数年の間の作品のベスト・アルバムの性格を持っているのでしょう。リーフレットには、中村とうよう氏が書いた「芸能山城組」の説明があり、活動歴や録音歴が記してありますので、俯瞰して眺めるのに好都合の説明でした。
また、主宰の山城祥二氏が、本アルバムの曲の背景や演奏理念について14ページにわたって詳細な解説しており、それを読むとこの集団の足跡が深く理解できます。

30年以上前の音源ですが、クリアな音像を結びますし、民族音楽の数々は今でもこのCDでないと聞けない音源がほとんどですから、それを考えても素晴らしい功績です。音楽技術も特異性は不変性を持ち、古さは全くありません。題材がユニークですから発声面は最初から驚いて迎え入れていますので、その印象はそのままです。
西洋のヴェルカントではない「合唱」の発声法について深く考える切っ掛けになった「芸能山城組」の功績は今も大だと評価しています。

懐かしいですね。”合唱刈干切り歌”を中学生のころよく聞いていました。当時は莫大な機材を要した割りに、結構ノイズがあったりして･･･ＰＣＭ？　76ｃｍ/ｓアナログオープンリール？。　デジカメ的なヴァーチャルな高音質でなく、少し距離感をのこした高音質ですね。
「入門」とありますが、これで「終焉」ともいえるくらいエッセンシャルな曲がそろってます。
