　前２作が好評だったため、あーるの世界を充分に堪能してもらおうと企画されたドラマアルバムのリマスター盤。構成としては、ドラマ２本とショートバージョンのイメージソング２曲、カバー１曲、新曲１曲で、トータルタイムは３０分足らず。相変わらずの短さ、これも「あーる」の特徴である。

　しかし、中身は濃い。声優陣は前２作のメンバーがほぼそのまま移行。しかも西園寺えりか役はあの高田明美先生である。個人的な見解として、えりか役はこの後のＣＤやビデオ（ＤＶＤ）でのかないみかさんより高田先生の方がマッチしていると思われる。「高田えりか」は本ＣＤと前２作のみ、さらにつっこむとドラマは本作と音楽集Vol.2のみなので、たっぷりと堪能するには本作が最適である。さらに、ドラマパートの脚本は、高田先生の夫君である名ライターの伊藤和典先生。原作の持つ「すっとこどっこい」な雰囲気を全く違和感なく作り出している。何でこんなに話が前に進まないんだろうと笑いながら聞くのが正しい「あーる」鑑賞法。ま、とにかく聞いて笑ってください。近年のアニメにはない高いクオリティのオーディオドラマが楽しめます。あえて問題点を挙げるとすれば、笠原弘子さんが試験勉強のため別録りになってること（微妙に空気感がずれてるのがわかる）。とはいえ、それも、時間の短いことも気にならない楽しいアルバムである。

　あーるのオーディオドラマはVol.2、本盤、真夏の一夜漬、ボックスに収録されているが、原作の雰囲気を忠実に再現しているのはなんといっても本盤である（故に「どらまＳＰＥＣＩＡＬ」なんだけどね）。そういう理由であーる関連のＣＤの最高傑作と考えられる。何より、原作者のゆうきまさみ先生が関与しているのは本盤までなのでいわば最後のお墨付きアルバムなのだ（後２作のドラマはビデオの発売とリンクしているので、ちょっと毛色が違うしね）。気楽に（そもそも力を入れて聞こうとしてもできない内容である）楽しく聞いて、めくるめる「あーるの世界」をご堪能ください。
