5.0 out of 5 stars 隠れた名作をほじくりだす、芋づる式に, 2008/2/29
かつて貪るように日本映画を見ていた頃、
たどり着いたのが日活ロマンポルノだった。
日本の映画の斜陽期に多くの才気あふれる新人監督に活躍の場を与えたロマンポルノ。
そんな中で一番光っていたのが、田中登だ。
私の中では、田中登と神代辰巳がロマンポルノ界の二大監督なのだが、
神代が萩原健一とのコンビでポルノ以外にも名作を撮ったのに比べて、
田中は作品数が少なく、主戦場はポルノとテレビドラマだった。
だが、どれも粒ぞろいの傑作である。
その中でも、
私が一番に推すのが、今作だ。
大阪を舞台にした人間模様がおかしくて、悲しい。
田中登を観た事がない方への入問編としてふさわしい一本だ。

実際のドヤ街でロケした本作は底辺に地を這うように蠢きながら生きる人間の姿を凄絶に描写している。最底辺の娼婦として生きるヒロイン、芹明香の存在感が物凄く、普通の映画１００本分の衝撃を受ける事間違いなし。

たかがポルノ映画だと思ってみていると確実に「痛い目に合う」一作。

ヒロインを取り巻く人間たち。父親が誰かも判らぬまま自分を生んだ上に、自分の娘と情夫を取り合う母、精神薄弱の弟、ポルノショップを経営する地回りのヤクザ、一度使用した避妊具を川で洗って再度売ろうとする浮浪者、あるいは指名手配から逃げてドヤに逃げ込んだ殺人犯、だらしないヒモと駆け落ちした挙句に、結局地回りのヤクザの情婦になるしかない女、そんな最底辺の人間たちの中で体を張って生き抜く女、芹明香の存在感は凄まじく美しい。

日本映画の、しかもポルノなんて・・と思っている人にこそ見て欲しい傑作です。

これは、田中登監督の最高傑作というだけでなく、日本映画史に残る傑作である。
元々詩人としての才能が高い田中監督の作品の中でも、その観念性が抑えられ、
あいりん地区で生きることのリアリティと削ぎ落とされた言葉の数々・・・
７０年代を超えて、人が生きることの虚しさと逃げ場の無さがにじみ出ている。
それなのに、なぜか軽やかな足取りの芹明香の姿に微笑ましさと力強さを
感じずにいられない。
田中登監督は、最後まで会社側のカットとタイトルに反対されていたが、
あいりん地区同様、観た人が自由に感じ取ってもらえる、素晴らしい作品である。

ぜひ多くの若い人に観てほしい！
