　ビートルズやローリング・ストーンズの作品への参加で知られるBilly Prestonの、George Harrisonがプロデュースした1969年の作品にして代表作がこれ。オリジナル・タイトルは「 That's the Way God Planned It 」で、George Harrisonはもちろん、Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Ginger Bakerがゲスト参加している豪華な一枚です。
　Billy Prestonはビートルズと1962年からの知り合いで、1969年のロンドン・フェスティバルホールでのレイ・チャールズのコンサートでGeorge Harrisonと再会したことをきっかけに"Let It Be Session"に参加するようになったということだったと思います。これに際してビートルズの曲にメンバー以外で初めて名前がクレジットされることになりました。1969年の4月から7月にかけて、アップル・スタジオでファーストアルバム「神の掟」の制作に入っていますが、アップル･スタジオでは同時に"Abbey Road Session"も併行して行われており(Billy Prestonは"Something" や "I Want You" のレコーディングに参加)、ビートルズのファンには聴き逃せないところでしょう。なお、2005年6月発売の紙ジャケはThrough All Times / As I Get Older / That's the Way God Planned It (Alternate version)の3曲がボートラで付いた15曲入りです。ちなみにジャケットはコーティングです。
　なお、Billy Prestonは昨年11月から腎不全などのため昏睡状態になっていたそうですが、ご存知の通り、2006年6月6日に亡くなられました。享年59歳とのことです。合掌。
