２巻のカバー裏からも思いしらされる、作者の（無駄に）膨大な知識によって繰り広げられるツンデレコメディも、半年振りの新刊となる今回でようやく三巻め。

もし、あなたがこの漫画に興味を持ちながらも買いあぐねているのであれば、この３巻が発売された今がその時だと私は思う。なぜなら、それは百舌谷さんや他の登場人物たちの心が今巻によって、夏の終わりと共にある種の決着をみせるからである。

「百舌谷さん逆上する」がどんな漫画かを３巻の内容箇条書きで表すと

百舌谷さんの生まれついての病気に対する葛藤にいつものように苦心し、
ネギ（キツネ）に急襲する悲劇に動揺し、
樺島君の強さに惚れぼれした後の巻中カラーでの意志表明に爆笑し、
百舌谷夫妻の過去に触れた百舌谷さんの姿に涙を流し、
夏の終わりと作者のおまけマンガにしんみりした後に、
カバー裏で今までのそんな心情をぶち壊しにされる。そんな漫画である。

ともあれ、1巻より続く百舌谷さんと樺島君の関係にもある種の進展を見せる3巻。

未読とあれば1巻からまとめて、既読者ならば帯にもある「ツンデレ×ドМ＝感動の涙」が描かれる妙に膨らんだ夏休みにいち早く触れるべきであろう。

ちなみに私のオススメシーンは、巻中カラーでの樺島君の意思表明と、終盤でのメールでのやり取り。
前者の場面で感動するか、爆笑するかはあなた次第。私は爆笑だったけど。

1，2巻と読んできた方には周知の事だが、この作者の感性は尋常ではない。
一体笑わせたいのか泣かせたいのか、その最たる例が途中に挟まれた４ページのカラー。
わざわざカラーページを使っているからには作者が一番力を入れたかった所である筈なのだが、
これがそうだとすれば気が狂っていると言う他無い（勿論褒め言葉である）。
まあこのカラーだけではなく全編に渡ってふざけまくっているのだが、
それも物語の基盤であるツンデレという架空の病気が（この設定も相当ふざけている）この上無くシリアスなもので、
ともすれば沈みがちな作品のテンションを上手く引っ張って中和している、という印象。
この世界が一巡したような絶妙なバランス感覚によって後味の悪くなりそうなシリアスな話が多いこの巻も、
適度に笑い適度に考えさせられながら読むことができる。
個人的には、とあるきっかけで百舌谷夫妻の過去を知る事となった小音とその結末が本書の見所。
実に素晴らしい流れで落ちがつくのだが、そんな重要なシーンの中にさえ笑いの種を仕込む辺り、
本当にこの作者は尋常ではない。この作品の今後が楽しみで仕方がない。

この作品の、特に読者に対する「先を見せたい」と思わせる力はとても凄いです。
色々な手法と演出を駆使し、粘り粘ってやっと「一本の作品」を作っています。
これは作品のプロット、トリートメントを丁寧に行っているから出来ることで、更にキャラクターたちの感情が上手い具合に交錯していって、読んだ後とても充実した気分になれました。
久々に「本当に面白い物」を読めた気がします。
