副題に「韓国の研究者による決定版」とありますが、同感したのでレビューを書きます。

先ず、1971年に発掘された武寧王（斯麻王）の誌石がスタートです。誌石によると、武寧王の死を大王にだけ許される「崩」という字を使っていること、一方日本書紀では武寧王の死に対して大王には使わない「薨」を使っているとして、日本書紀の「捏造」を論証しています。（P.63）
武寧王陵について疑っている人や誌石に問題提起をした論文を読んだことがありません（勉強不足か？）。とすると、この事実から解き明かすのが歴史の王道ではないかと思いますが、如何でしょう？

著者はまた、例の宋書にある倭の五王の武を、日本での通説にあるような「雄略」ではなく武寧王に充てています。（P.104）朝鮮古代史の大家である井上秀雄（東北大学名誉教授）さんによれば、倭の五王を雄略などに比定する根拠は無いと公言していますし、古田武彦さんの九州王朝説では、九州の王が倭の五王だと述べていたと記憶しています。著者の問題提起も同様に検討すべきものだと思います。

本コラムを読む方は、１）日本書紀を信じる、２）信じない、に分かれるでしょう。そして、信じない方（というか疑問を持っている方。私もそうです）は様々な角度から歴史を勉強していることと思います。そのような方に是非ご一読をお勧めします。
