リリー（浅丘ルリ子）が初めて登場しますが、その母親を演じた
利根はる恵という女優も見てあげてください。古い女優ですが、
昭和２０年代の活劇映画ではびっくりするような色っぽいビキニ
スタイルで踊っていました。「男はつらいよ」シリーズは随所に
ベテラン俳優をさり気なく配置しています。映画そのものへの
愛情とオマージュが潜んでいるのでしょう。そんな目で鑑賞しても
面白い作品です。

こうした廉価版を出せば、日本映画旧作もかなり売れると思っていたので、早速、マドンナをリリー（浅丘ルリ子）が演じたものから購入を決めました。マドンナ役ははなから縁のないお嬢様やインテリではなくリリーのような寅さんにやや近い存在の方が「寅さんの恋」もよりリアリティがでて共感が出来、それだけに結果が哀しくもありました。なかでも、最高なのは浅丘ルリ子演じるリリーが最高。第一作は寅さんは網走の港でバッタリ、りりーと会い、互いに身の上話をする。この出会いのシーンは何度見てもいい。連れ合いともども相談してリリーが出演した4本のうち3本をさっそく予約しました。最後の作品は辛くて見れませんので、躊躇しています。とまれ、寅さんは日本映画に無くてはならぬ映画です。リリー出演作以外にも数本欲しい作品があります。待っていたかいがありました。

浅丘ルリ子演じるリリー３部作の第１作。（浅丘ルリ子は第４８作「寅次郎紅の花」にも登場しますので、本当は４回出演していますが、最終作は別格なので、やはりリリー３部作と呼んだ方が良いと思います。）昭和４８年の作品なので、寅さんもリリーもとらやの人々も皆若いです。最後、リリーは寿司職人の毒蝮三太夫と結婚して、寿司屋の女将さんに納まりますが、その結末は・・・。（続編を見れば分かります。）「初恋の人は寅さんかな〜」とか「この旦那より本当は寅さんの方が好きなんだけど。」とあっけらかんというリリーは、やはり寅さんシリーズの華ですね！
