どこまでまじめに作っているのかわからない作品。でも予想以上に怖かった。いや怖いというよりもいやな感じが残った映画だった。もちろんホラーである以上、いやな感じというのは必要不可欠であり、誉め言葉で使っています。

映画自体はトビー・フーパー監督の傑作「悪魔のいけにえ」をベースに作られたものであることは間違いない。だが、「悪魔のいけにえ」にあったような力強さやスピード感はない。じわじわと追い詰められていくような恐怖感である。あまり繰り返して見たくなるような作品ではないが、一度は見てほしい。

自主映画っぽい2流感と、いゃ〜な感じ漂う映画です。それがこの監督のスタイルのようです。このデビュー作の後「怖来」「恐怖依存症」といゃ〜な感じのホラーを撮っているので、気になった方は観てみると良いでしょう。だんだん撮り方も上手くなっていってます。
