猫吉とうさんはその日暮らしの布きれを売って歩く商人。その商売に母さんとこどもの昆布吉も一緒についていくんです。お昼になったら三匹揃っておむすびをほおばり、夕方まで商売して、夕暮れ時になると家に向かいます。毎日がピクニックみたいで、楽しそう。
江戸時代の核家族はいいなぁ、ゆきあうひとがみな言葉を交わし、困っていれば助け合い、貯金や年金なんか無くてもだれも困らないだろうな。
コマまんがの構成なのですが、ちょっと細かすぎるので、あまり小さい人には読みきかせにくいと思います。
むしろおかあさんが疲れたときに開いてみると、ほっとする世界かもしれません。
