筆者は清朝最後の皇帝、愛新覚羅溥儀の弟である。
妻である愛新覚羅浩著の「流転の王妃」では、二人の心のつながりを中心に描かれているが、本作品では、清朝最後の皇帝の弟としての彼の人生のほうが重く描かれている。それは、作品中で筆者も述べているが、浩が書いていて、想いは同じなので自分は書く必要はないということらしい。

清朝最後の皇帝の弟である彼は、日本によって様々な辛酸を嘗めさせられてきた。彼らは清朝を再興したかった。しかし、時代はそれを許さず、その夢は日本に利用されるものとなった。
映画「ラストエンペラー」の中では、彼はほとんど登場しないが、史実の中ではラストエンペラー溥儀にとってなくてはならない存在であった。

日本軍に裏切られ、人間不信となった溥儀の中で唯一心を許せる存在であった。家族と離れ、溥儀を支えつづける彼の心痛は計り知れない。
浩さんの書かれた「流転の王妃」の中でも、本作品の中でも彼は本当に心のきれいな人である。
彼は、日本を許してくれたのだろうか・・・
日本軍は憎んでも、日本人は憎まない。そう言ってくれそうな人である。
