他の方も書いていらっしゃいますが、やっぱり東野圭吾作品としては、あまりにも雑さが目立ちすぎ、貧相な小説というしかないですね。これを単行本の値段で買わされてしまうと、損をした、騙されたと言いたくなります。情感が伝わってくるような地の文もなく、会話文も雑だから登場人物にも魅力が感じられず、文章が粗いために、ストーリーもただ駆け足という印象です。東野さんなら、他にもっといい作品がたくさんありますから、慌ててこれに手を出す必要はないかと思います。

大好きな東野圭吾で、しかも08年上半期No.1という事で読みました。

読みやすく、ラストまで一気に読み終えられます。
ただ、、ちょっと内容も薄く、雑に感じた部分が多かったかも。
特に「白夜行」や「容疑者X」「悪意」なんかと比べるとかなり軽い感じです。

伏線の張り方や動機づけ、犯行手段といった点でちょっと無理矢理感がありました。

もちろん、それぞれのキャラの個性は立っていたし、それなりにハラハラドキドキもする、犯人も、途中で気付く気付かないは別としても、意外性はあります。
でも、それだけ。。「へぇ、そう。。」みたいな。
三兄妹の人格形成に多大な影響を及ぼすであろう養護施設での生活の描写もなく、あの事件だけを絡めて
「絆」を強調されても、ちょっと消化不良。。

売れっ子作家さんなので仕方ないかもしれませんが、ちょっと書き急いでるような感じがしました。
ただ、読んでるとハヤシライスが食べたくなります。

東野圭吾さんの作品はほとんど読んでいます。大好きな作家です。
でも、今作は東野圭吾さんの力量からすると、水準以下の作品だと思います。
この作品に限らず、直木賞受賞作以降「感動」と「驚き」を無理に詰め込む
パターンが多いのではないでしょうか。
内容に関わる記述は避けますが、一つだけ。
帯にある「最大の誤算は妹の恋心」って、内容に反すると思います。
また、他の方も言っているように煽りすぎです。
まぁ、どう感じるかは人それぞれなので、皆さんも読んでみて下さい。
