「戦争反対」のメッセージを込め、多様な「愛の形」を収録。音楽面では坂本龍一が『ジムノペティ』を、高橋幸宏がインスト名曲『今日、恋が』を演奏。MELONにはエイドリアン・ブリューが参加。

   “愛と平和”“戦争反対”をコンセプトにした81年のセカンド。だからギャグのタイトルにはすべて“愛”が冠されているのだが、“ホテルニュー越谷”のナレーションで有名な「愛のホテル」をはじめ、実際はほとんどが下ネタのお笑いだったりする。音楽の方はプラスティックスのメンバーが新しく結成したメロン、UKニュー・ウェイヴのリップ・リグ＆パニック、ジャーマン・ロックのホルガー・シューカイら、当時のもっとも刺激的な顔ぶれが集まり、前作よりもレベルアップしている。ラスト・アルバムとして制作されただけに、ギャグも音楽も力の入ったものが多く、入魂の作品といえる。（小山 守）

私は特に「愛の野球場」が好きでした！今聴いても面白い！！
最近知ったんですが、「愛の野球場」ってCheech and Chongの1974年に出したアルバム
「Cheech and Chong's Wedding Album」の一曲目、「Champion Wresring」の翻訳バージョンなんですよね。
あと、このアルバムには収録されていませんが、「警察だ」も
実はCheech and Chongの一作目のアルバム「Dave」がオリジナルなんですよね。
オリジナルも中々面白いので、知らなかった人は是非チェックしてみて下さい^^

このアルバムを聴いた瞬間、自分の中の笑いが一段とヒートアップしたことを思いだす。ＹＭＯをはじめ、テクノが大流行！そのころ予想もしないアーティストが顔をそろえ、なにかしら宴会気分で好きなことやってるなと思いながら、毎日針がすり切れるほど聞いたね。この死ぬのは嫌だ、恐い。戦争反対！の発売時期には、戦争反対のシンボルとして黒い羽をもらえる？かなんかＦＭラジオで言ってましたね。羽が欲しくて欲しくて、どうやったらもらえるのかＦＭラジオ局に聞いたな。とにかくブラックなアルバムでした。夜中にウォークマン（まだありますかね？）で聞きながら布団のなかで笑ってました。スネークマンショーは
数々のアルバムを出してますが、よくもまあ、これだけのアーティストを集めて、予想外の夢と笑いとちょっぴりエロチックな刺激を与えてくれました。今の若い方には是非、聞いていただきたいと思いますね。

スネークマンショーに引き続き買ってしまいました。
何て言うんでしょうか、私自身その時代を生で体験した世代ですから
若き日の頃を思い出し、ほくそえんで聞いています。
もちろんヘッドホンでパソコンしながら家族に聞こえないように。
子供には聞かせられません。家の子にはまだ早すぎます。
運良く越谷に引っ越した時には、まじで探しましたホテルニュー越谷
でもありませんでした。
Ｋ＆Ｋ越谷っつうのはありますね。まぁどうでもいい事なんですけど。
ネットワークウオークマンに入れて通勤電車で聞いていますが
あまり音量が大きいと音が漏れて周りの人に笑われています。
気をつけます。同僚に言われて気がつきました。
しかしクオリティ的には高く評価しているのですが私だけでしょうか。
いまでも切れ味抜群なんですが。
