この著者独特の味わいがとてもよかった。
文平さんの本はいつも難しいことや、面倒なことがとてもすんなり「なるほど」と、自分のなあかに伝わってくる。
「死」とはまたずいぶん重厚なものに手を出したなあ、とも思いましたが、読んでみたら一変。
巷の「自殺なんちゃら」みたいな「死促進本」ではなくて、とても素直に素朴に「みんなにいつかは訪れてしまう「死」っていったいなに？？」ということが描かれていた。
じぶんの死も、やがては訪れるけれど、まずは、いまを生きなくては。と、改めて思った本でした。

寄藤 のほんわかしたイラストで、死という重くて近寄りがたいテーマも自然にうけいれられます。
また、いろんな国や宗教の死の考え方が一挙に紹介されているので、「死」に対する考え方の自由を与えてもらったような気がします。

この人のイラストは好きな部類には入るのだが、もう少し線をはっきり書いてくれると私的にはうれしい。死という概念をコミカルに描くというこの本の企画は斬新である。この著者の想像力にも感嘆するし、大多数の人がこの著者のアイデアに同調するのではないでしょうか。
