シングルのタイトルは００８３のエンディングとなっていますが、二曲目はあの軽快なOPです。しかもフルバージョン。　暖かみのあるEDで心休めた後は、気持ち浮き立つようなノリのいいOP「ザ・ウィナー」で燃え上がってしまいましょう！　　

EDの英語曲では、繰り返し「欲しいのは一晩の情事じゃない　

君を抱きしめる時欲しいのは　不思議なときめき（マジック）・・」
と真の愛を求める男の想いが切なく歌い上げられており、
ニナの○○○との過去を知った今、すべてが終わった今もなお
彼女を求めるコウの気持ちと絶妙にマッチしています。

OPはEDとうってかわって、いつでも臨戦状態・敵さん
来るなら束にかかってきやがれ！　とでも訴えるかのような

ノリの良い曲調となっています。敵の攻撃だけでなく、
仲間であるはずの他のパイロットからの妨害をも
乗り越えなければガンダムGP01のパイロットにはなれない・・・！
これらの外的な障害に加え、コウ自身の内なる弱さ・
未熟さもが様々な場面で彼に立ちはだかります。
そんな数々の困難に真っ正面から立ち向かう、

コウの前向きな心情がそのまま歌い上げられたような
名曲に仕上がっています。

なお余談ながら、バンプレスト社から販売されている
シミュレーションゲーム「スーパーロボット大戦」
でも、コウ・キースが登場するシーンではこのOP曲
「ザ・ウィナー」が使用されています。００８３と
いったら、この曲！というまでにファンの間で支持

されているタイトルなのでしょう。

1990年ビデオリリースされた時、００８３を観て
覚えたあの衝撃を！心地よい興奮を！
このシングルでまた蘇らせてみてはいかがでしょう・・・！
