たとえ話をうまく使っていて、これからFlashを使えるようになりたい初心者にもとっつきやすい一冊です。
約650ページありますが、私のような文系の非プログラマーでも、おもしろく前へ進めました。
逆を言えば既に2.0までをご存知の方には物足りないのかもしれません。
著者は某webサイトでインストラクターとして記事も執筆されている方です。

今まで色々なプログラミングの本を読んできましたが、
これほど、読者の立場を考えて書かれた入門書はないと思いました。

ほとんどの参考書は、入門書と言いつつ、
とても長い構文を例に学習を進めるものが多く、
本来、覚えなくてはいけない項目も、
学習の的から外れた必要のない難解な構文を解読しなくてはならず、
途中で読み飛ばしてしまったり、理解出来ず挫折してしまうことが多いと思います。

でも、この本、見た目はとても分厚く難しそうなイメージに見えますが、
プログラミングが初めての方でも、一からとても丁寧に説明されており、
最後まで無理なく読み進めることが出来ると思います。
読み終えた後も、この本を片手に自分の力でコーディングしていけると思います。

全ての章の項目で言える事ですが、一つ一つの項目にピンポイントを当てた
無駄のない数行のコードで説明されているため、
「これはどんな風に機能しているか」など
重要な部分をしっかり理解することが出来ました。

プログラミング本の嫌なところを解消している、読者思いの素晴らしい参考書でした。

混乱しやすい、クラスやインスタンス、変数の役割を
わかりやすい例えで表現している。

プログラミング初心者を悩ませる、階層構造、
変数や定数といった用途の使い道も解説。

可愛いイラストと、シンプルさが内容把握を後押ししてくれる。
