学者がアカデミックに書いた本ではないので「ケンミンショー」みたいな
ご当地バラエティみたいに楽しめればこういう本は成功といえましょう。
開拓という特殊な歴史を持ち、よそものの寄せ集めからスタートしたという
なりたちから、独特の感覚を持つ北海道（札幌）の人間性や、
ビールが有名だけどビールの消費量は全国から見たらそう多くないとか、
歴史やデータを都合よくとりこんで面白おかしなコラムに仕上げている。

ただ、著者（名古屋出身で今は東京の人らしい）は、どこか上目線というか
珍獣を見るように札幌人を眺め、ヘンな場所ーと、おかしなレジャーランドみたいに
札幌の街を眺めているような気がする。全体を読むと愛がないんですよね。
札幌のこと、面白がってるけど好きだったり住んでみたいと思ったことがないでしょ、
というのが伝わってきて、元札幌市民としては悲しい気持ちになったのでした。
内容は興味深かったんだけど、そこが残念。

札幌が好きなんでしょうが、馬鹿にされている感じが否めないですね。
鳥麺ってなんですか。定番と書いてましたが、知らないです。
24条は近所なので、定番なら知っていると思いますが、聞いたことがありません。

誤解があるといけないので、書いておきますが、
本書のように札幌の女子が軽いコばかりだと思うと痛い目合います。
ご注意を。

書店で見かけて、パラパラと読んでみました。
良く言えば「読みやすい」、悪く言えば「内容が浅い」といったところでしょうか。
昨年ベストセラーになった血液型の本に通じるところがあるような気がします。
内容について、著者の適当な憶測では？というところがいくつかあり、
買うのはやめました。
札幌のことを良く知りたいという人は気をつけたほうが良いと思います。
単なるエッセィとして読むなら面白い本だと思います。
