加納朋子さんの作品は、一般に「ミステリ」と評されつつも、派手な殺人事件や誘拐事件は一切登場しません。

本作は主人公であるＯＬ陶子とひょんなことから彼女の助手に納まった青年が、ありふれた日常の中の、ともすれば見逃してしまうようなささやかな謎の数々を解明して行く連作ミステリです。

加納さんの優れた点は、１つ１つの謎をキチンと解明しながら、最後にはその一連の物語があるべきところに綺麗に納まり、１枚の美しいパズルを描き出すように、作品全体が大きな流れの中で首尾一貫性を失わないことです。

最後はちょっと「ホロリ」とさせながらも爽やかな後読感を残してくれるあたり、さすがです。

いつもの時間、いつもの電車、いつもの座席に座る「彼」の月曜日のネクタイは、
水玉模様だった。だがある日突然、水玉模様のネクタイが月曜日以外の日にも！
陶子と「彼」こと広海のまわりで起こる小さなミステリーを、曜日ごとに７編収録。

大きな事件は起こらない。日常生活の中で、ほんのちょっといつもと違うことが
起こるだけ。どれもそんな感じのするできごとばかりだ。謎解きの楽しさと、そこに
見え隠れする人たちの悲喜交々がうまくとけあって、作品全体がやわらかで温かい
ものに包まれているようだった。曜日ごとのミステリー。月曜日、火曜日、水曜日・・・。
話が進むにしたがって、陶子と広海の関係も微妙に変化していく。この二人どうなるの？
そんなことを考えながら、ほのぼのとした気持ちで本を閉じた。

ものすごく読みやすい文章です。

メリハリもテンポもあるんだけれど、さらさらっと流れていくようにお話は進んでいきます。

それと「えっ？」っていうくらい唐突に謎解きが出てきます。

本作はOLの日常生活を舞台にしたミステリ
（満員の通勤電車で席取したり、取引先の会社のOLの対応に憤慨したり）
なので、殺人事件は起こりません。
だから、本格物しか読んでいない私にはとても新鮮でした。

よく読み返すと、ほぼ冒頭から伏線が張られているのに気づきます。
凄い！派手さがない分、じわりときます。
いぶし銀。こういう人を天才っていうんでしょうね。

ミステリですが、心が平らかになるような一冊でした。
他の作品も読んでみようっと。

目次の頭文字を読むと･･･みたいな遊び心も隠されてます。
子憎たらしいまでの小さな演出ですね。
