会議の準備から議事録配付までをまとめているので、これ一冊で会議の何たるかが分かる。新社会人になる人はこれを読んで会議の基本を学んだ方がいい。

日本特有の根回しについても面白い解釈をしていて、納得できた。やはり、最後は人と人との調整になるので、ロジックだけで割り切れるものではないようだ。

会議に参加する問題児も解説してあり、”成果”と”意見の拠り所”を切り口にして分類しているのはとても分かりやすかった。たしかにこんな人っているなあ。

私も根回しってマイナスイメージを持っていたんですけど、
事前に調整することで、会議における無駄を大幅に省くことができるんですね。

そういえば、最近ワークフローのアプリケーションで、
根回し機能を実装したヤツが発表されてました。

本の中では、
「プレミーティングと呼ぶとプラスのイメージが沸きます」という記述がありましたけど、
確かにドロドロジメジメした印象を拭えそうなネーミングです。
ここの話だけでも読んだ甲斐がありました。

私も会議に出ることが多いのですが、いつも「なあなあ」の雰囲気でなんとなく会議が終わっていることが多いです。それって、会議の最後に決定事項を具体的に読み上げていなかったことが原因だったんだと、今ようやく気付きました。

他にもBATNAの考え方、これを知っているのと知らないのじゃ、会議そのもののコントロールも大きく変わるというのがよく分かりました。「相手の腹の内を読め」ってのは、BATNAを知ってZOPAを意識するということだったんですね。

他の会議の本には無い視点が盛り込まれているので、既に会議に関する本を持っている人にも十分薦められます。
