　この本が、私にとって最初のカスタネダ。カスタネダってなんだか難しそう、、、と思ってなかなか踏み込めなかったのですが、これはあの長いシリーズが作者自身の手で1冊にまとめられてるのと、装丁がすごく持ち歩きたい感じだったので、衝動的に入手しました。1ページごとに直感的に宇宙を感じられるその内容は、オカルト本というよりむしろ、言葉本来の意味での「詩集」のように思えます。大袈裟なはったりや専門用語から遠く離れた訳文はうれしい。なんだかカスタネダが身近に感じられました。
　目に見える世界が複雑になりすぎたとき、私たちはいつでもこの本、この場所に帰ってこれる。そしてまた出かければいいのだと思う。

装丁が素敵で手にとった。中身もさらに深くてびっくりした。
カスタネダって誰？くらいなーんにも知らない私だけど
今の自分に響く言葉がたくさんのっている。
数年後、また違うページに響くんだろうなというのが分かる。
ずっと持ち歩きたい本です。

まだ全部読んでないので控えめに☆４つ！

カスタネダは、その師、ヤキ・インディアン呪術師ドン・フアン・マトゥスに師事し、その 「無欠の離れ業」を学んだのだと言う。
恐るべき、過酷な修練の果てにあって勝ち得る「離れ業」―― おそらく、常人にとって、そこまで到達するのは至難であろう。

しかし、それでも、「宇宙に流れるエネルギーを『見る』こと、『視覚化』すること」は、いつどこにでも、誰にでもできることであろう。それなりの「離れ業」を身につけなくともである。

それは、何らかの原因で、ふとしたきっかけで「意識がゆらぐ」瞬間に不意に訪れるものなのであろう ―― 「狂気」だの「臨死」だの「憑依」だの・・・という体験もそうだが、ちょっと体調がバランスを崩したとか、飲みすぎたとか、徹夜をしたとか・・・そんなことでも起こり得ることであろう。

「一点の非の打ち所のない完璧な振る舞い（impeccable behavior）を貫くこと」―― これは重要なポイントである。
それを求めるのは、特別な修練・修養を積む機会のない、ごく普通に生きている人間にとっては至難の業である。

しかし、「一個の純粋な抽象（a pure abstraction）であるところのその『意志』」なるものに接近する方法は、それこそ無限にあるということは、私の経験上言えるような気がする。

それこそ、人間の実存 ―「個」としての「実存」に拘らず（？）、「種」としての「人類」の「実存」（…果たして、こうした概念は通用するのかどうか…？）、さらにはそれをも超えた「ガイア」としての「実存」にまで到達できる 「トランスパーソナル」なレベルまで言及できるかどうか・・・である。


体験としては「狂気」や「臨死」や「憑依」等々 、個別のものでありながら遍く大いなる 「実存」 にまでいたり着けるかどうか 、そして、それを開放し透明化し、現実の現象レベルで解消できる方法論をシステム化する働きかけをあらゆる局面で実践すること ―― おそらく、そんなところに、この世界が抱えるあまたの 矛盾や閉塞状況を打開する「鍵」があるように思う。
