著作権保護に対応し、長時間のデジタル映像の録画・ムーブが可能
   著作権保護技術「SAFIA」の採用により、フルハイビジョン映像をそのままの画質で長時間録画することが可能。

コンパクトサイズでありながら、250GBの大容量と最大665Mbpsの高速転送が可能
   Blu-ray Discの約9倍に相当する最大665Mbps(メガビット/秒)のデータ転送速度を実現している。

独自の衝撃緩衝フレームを採用し、耐衝撃性を向上

著作権保護技術「SAFIA」について
   SAFIA(Security Architecture For Intelligent Attachment device)は、SAFIAライセンスグループが提供するデジタルTVやデジタルオーディオ等のコンテンツ保護技術。iVDR-Secureタイプに採用されているSAFIAは「受信機への搭載可能なリムーバブル記録媒体(iVDR)へのコンテンツ保護方式」としてDpaで認定され、ARIB0技術資料TR-B14およびTR-B15の最新版(2006年3月改定)に反映されている。

日立プラズマテレビ、Woooの増設用ディスクとして購入しました。
Woooと別にHDDレコーダーはpanasonicのBlu-RayDIGAを持っていますが、Blu-rayに書き込むのって意外と面倒なんですよね。1層ディスクだと1時間ドラマだと1シーズンで3〜4枚のディスクが必要になるし･･･
その点、IVDRはHDDに一気にまとめておけるし、ムーブの時間もさほど長くないのでシリーズ毎やまとめて保存しておけるって点で非常に快適ですよ♪要らない番組だけ後から消したりもできますしね！
願わくば、もう少しIVDRカートリッジの値段が安いと嬉しいかも。
レコーダーで内臓HDD（1TB)＋IVDRスロット搭載！なんて機種出てくれないかなぁ。I.OデータさんがRec-Potの新機種としてやってくれないですかねぇ。
