   日本に似た架空の島国を舞台にしたシミュレーションRPG『VM JAPAN』に、新しい機能やデータを追加するソフトウェア。『VM JAPAN』は、プレイヤーが幻魔使いの1人となって召還した複数の幻魔を操りながら敵の幻魔使いと戦う、ビジュアルの美しさと、単純なルール、奥の深いゲーム性で定評のあるネットワーク対応のゲームだ。

   本タイトルを利用することで、『VM JAPAN』に新しく霊峰富嶽地方と、この地方にある9つの戦場で繰り広げるトーナメントモードを追加する。新戦場はすべて対等な条件で構築されているので、より白熱したネット対戦を楽しめるようになった。また、従来のマップをすべて一新し、戦局を左右する術の種類も追加。

   このほか、幻魔使い10人と幻魔4体が新たに加わり、さらにダルク・ファクトやピュラー、ドーラ、リリアなど、ファルコムの歴代キャラクターもゲストで登場する。『VM JAPAN』をより深く楽しみたい人におすすめのパワーアップキットだ。（秋月昭彦）

お店で大きな箱がめにつき買ってしまいました。将棋やチェスに似た感じでプレーしました。
キャラクターも個性的で人によって遊び方を選べると思います。

生産した属性によるキャラの強弱と遠距離攻撃がメインの古臭いゲーム
生産キャラは使い捨てで思い入れもなく淡々と面クリです。
COMのいやらしい攻撃が目に付きリセットやり直し。手ごたえというより、ストレスに近い。
せめてファイアーエンブレムぐらいの育て要素ぐらいつけてほしい。
ほかにも楽しめる要素もなく知名度のわりにどうしようもない淡白さ。
NET対戦なら少しは楽しめるのかわかりませんが、そこまでしようとも思えなかった。
