製本には興味があって他にも何冊かハウツー本は持っていますが
この本はあらゆる製本方法が詳細に説明されていて
『やってみたいっ！』と思わされるものだと思います。

今　流行の雑貨的な構図の写真の良さで魅せる本ではなく
しっかり手順もでていてまさしくこれぞ『製本の本！』といった感じで
私的にはかなりオススメです。

本（ノートも含む）と言うものは、あくまでモバイルであり、いつでも何処でも使い勝手優先と考えていましたが、ここに出てくる本たちは、自己主張があり、本の形をした芸術と言って良いのではないでしょうか。作者の奇抜な発想から生まれる作品は、素材を紙と固定せず、また堅牢なスタイルにもこだわらない、自由な出来栄えと思えます。
本文中の「製本の仕方」についても親切で、イラストもわかりやすく、新たな製本の世界を広げてくれました。初心者向きとは言えませんが、多少の心得があれば、楽しく手にすることができると思います。

他の書籍とネットの情報を併用すれば，とても参考になると思います。
少し上級者向けに書いてあると思うので，初めて製本に挑戦する人はこの本だけで，というのは難しいかもしれません。
先に本を読んでからやるよりは，実際に作りながら本を読む方がイラストや説明がわかりやすくなります。
私は，この本を元に，ハードカバーの本を初めて作りましたが，自分でも驚くほどよいものができあがりました。
