実際のスコアカードや複数の企業にインタビューして得られた知見も沢山入っており情報が満載のように見える。しかしインタビューしている相手と、恐らくターゲットとしている読者層がトップメンバーかシニアマネージャークラスであると思われ、また実際の数値などが出てこないので、大局的な流れは分かるが現場の業務が実際に変わっていくイメージが沸いてこないのが残念。まあクライアントの情報はそう簡単には表に出せないのでしょうけど、出来ればもうちょっと踏みこんで欲しかった。

バランススコアカードの概念から構築の実践、さらにはＩＴ化の必要性や非営利組織への導入といった応用編まで、まさにバランスよく網羅されている。著者が強調するのはバランススコアカードの柔軟性であり、１００社の企業があれば１００通りのバランスコアカードが存在するということが良く理解できる。その証左として欧州を中心に様々な企業の事例が紹介されているのがうれしい。実際の構築プロセスにおいてはトップから現業部門までの様々な階層における議論の重要性がクローズアップされる。バランススコアカードの導入とともに組織のコミュニケーションが変革されていく効果が実感できる。バランススコアカードに興味を持った初心者から導入を目指すマネージャまで、単なる知識としてではなく導入意を刺激してくれる優れた一冊である。
