『女帝[エンペラー]』のフォン・シャオガン監督が贈る戦争アクション。中華人民共和国建国前夜に起こった“国共内戦”による悲劇を美化することなくありのままに描く。失った部下たちに着せられた汚名を晴らすため、ひとりの男が奔走する。

第二次世界大戦後、中華人民共和国建国前夜。人民解放軍と国民党軍の戦いの中で、最も死者が多く、最も熾烈な戦いと言われた准海戦役が勃発。人民解放軍139団3営第9連隊長グー・ズーティ以下48名の部隊は、撤退のラッパが鳴らされるまで、旧炭鉱を死守せよという指令を受ける。しかし、圧倒的に数で勝る国民党軍の攻撃に、部下たちは次々と命を落としていく…。

カラー映画なのに、色を殺した映像にしびれましたが、DVDで見たらどうかな。戦闘シーンの迫力が凄いです。でも、それだけじゃない映画。

やっぱり98年以降の自称リアル志向の戦争映画って、どうも同じような演出や撮りかたで見てて「またかよ。。。」って思う映画ばかりですね。
爆音で耳が聞こえなくなったり、執拗なまで手振れカメラを多用したカット・・・おっかしいなwどっかで見たようなシーンばっかり・・・。
おまけに突撃してくる国民党軍は密着してるし、着弾溝にすらまともに隠れたりしません。
しかもこっちの単発式の小銃からの弾丸は敵に引力があるが如く百発百中です(笑
爆発やCGの迫力は確かにすごいです。でもリアリティがあるかと言えば首を傾げざるを得ません。
感情的で「俺、帰ったら結婚するんだ」的なベタベタな使い古された演出を繰り返し見たければ、本作品をどうぞ。

中国国内での内戦をテーマとして時代背景は朝鮮戦争直後と思われる。
主人公が長渕剛？SMAPの仲居君系ではあるが、戦場でひとり生き残ってしまった隊長の辛さが感動できる良い作品だと思う。
