三木谷 浩史
1965年兵庫県生まれ。88年一橋大学卒業後、日本興業銀行に入行。93年ハーバード大学にてMBA取得。興銀を退職後、96年クリムゾングループを設立。97年2月エム・ディー・エム(現・楽天)設立、代表取締役就任。同年5月インターネットショッピングモール「楽天市場」を開設。2000年には日本証券業協会へ株式を店頭登録(ジャスダック上場)。その後、インフォシーク、楽天トラベル、楽天証券、楽天クレジット、フュージョン・コミュニケーションズ、イーバンク等の参画により事業の拡大を果たす。また04年Jリーグ・ヴィッセル神戸のオーナーに就任、さらに同年には50年ぶりの新規球団(東北楽天ゴールデンイーグルス)誕生となるプロ野球界にも参入。現在、楽天株式会社代表取締役会長兼社長(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

書かれている内容自体はビジネスの定石であり、それほど新鮮味があるわけではないが、
さすがにゼロからビジネスを立ち上げ、競争の激しいネット業界で勝ち残ってきただけあって、
その言葉には口先だけの経営コンサルタントとは違う、経験に裏打ちされた重みがあり、心に響く。

ただ、自分に謙虚になれ、と説いている一方で、自分が先頭を走っていて、社員はそれに
遅れて必死についてくる、、といった社員を見下した態度が随所に感じられて、自意識が
肥大しているところは、よくあるワンマン経営者らしい印象を受けた。

仕事＝人生というのは、経営者であれば当然かも知れないが、一般の社員では当然ではない。
それができない社員の人生を「つまらない」という著者の見方は、かなり偏っているのではないか。

経営者を目指す人にはいいかも知れないが、経済的な成功ではなく、バランスの取れた
人生を目標とする人にとっては、あまり役に立たない本かも知れない。

とてもわかりやすい文体で、サクサク読める。コンサルタントの本ではなく、引退した経営者の本でもなく、現在、第一線で活躍している経営者が直接書いている本なので、一文一文説得力がある。具体例も多く、一文も短く、わかりやすいが、読む人にとっては、とても深い内容。

皆さんとは少し違う角度からレビューしますね。
内容は確かにものすごく、オススメです。
このように社長が率先して、何事にも徹底しておこなう会社は強い筈ですよ。

但し、ここまで徹底していれば労働環境は厳しいと思います。
社員同士の競争や勝ち負けもはっきり！
短期間での入退社も恒常的…、
ある意味での活性化も相当激しいのではないかな？

本を読んで、けっこう感動すると思いますが、
学生さんが入社を考えている場合は、企業風土を良く確認のこと。

例えば、201ページの新入社員研修での話、
いきなり全員にノルマを与えられ契約を取って来い！なんてすご過ぎ…
しかも出来なかったら、社長が激怒（怖）…

でもこういう困難を乗り越えてこそ、自信になるのかも…
