最近の新書には珍しく地味なタイトルですが，中身はとても良い本です．

著者は，子どもも大人も自分の気持ちをうまく取り扱えなくなってきており，このことが様々な困ったことを引き起こしていると述べています．そして，自分の気持ちを知る，そして，相手の気持ちを知るにはどのようにすればよいかということを，著者が行っている研修会での取り組みなどを含めて紹介しています．

本書を読んでみて，用意されている設問に答えようと考えるときに，いかに自分で自分の気持ちがちゃんと把握できていないかという事を感じました．また，子どもからの問いに対して，ありがちな答えをすると子どもたちはどのように感じることになるのかということもよく分かります．

本書は概ね，先生ないしはお母さんのために書かれていますが，父親である私にとっても十分ためになりましたし，部下を持つビジネスマンやあるいは日常の生活におけるコミュニケーションにとっても役に立つ内容だと思います．

例題や設問に答えていくことによって気持ちの取り扱い方というものを発見できる良い本です．

今まで、自分が思ってきた子供の接し方を大きく変える本でした。「どうして？」と子供に聞くことは、理由を聞くために大事だと思っていたのに、実は圧迫感を与える言葉だというのは知らなかった。一番自分にとって参考になったのは、子供のわからないは、実はわかっていても言葉が見つからないのであり、大人が自分から気持ちを話して、子供に言葉を提供することが大事だということです。ぜひ読んで、子供の接し方の参考にしてほしいです。

互いに、相手にフォーカスして、気持ちよく話しを引き出すという
「コミュニケーションの基本」が崩れている昨今。
自分の話したいことだけを一方的に話しているだけでは、
相手は、心を開いてくれない。
そのこと自体に気がつかず、「心温まる真のコミュニケーション
は難しい」と悩んでいる人は多いのではないか？
こういった、人間関係、夫婦関係、親子関係の
コミュニケーションのすれ違いの原因を分かりやすく書かれた好著。
