Calm Down and read this book. I know that many Japanese hate me if I say English is universal language. (By the way, most popular one is Cinese, then Spanish.) As long as you live only in Japan for the rest of your life, don't read this book. This is just disgusting. The author of this book doesn't mean that Japanese people don't understand English at all. He just noticed some common misunderstandings about English for Japanese. If you have a chance to go to (or live in) other countries, it's a good idea to know Japanese-English, which other people don't understand but we don't understand why. Remember, English is a common language in the world.I sometimes hate that Americans rarely study other language. They believe USA is the center of the world, they believe USA is the greatest country in human history. But these are different issues. This book is simply about a language. It's all depends on you whether you hate English or try to study English. This book is for people who want to improve his/her English. Nothing emotional, nothing about disclimination. So, for me this is a very good book.
