著者は西村 悠さんでこの方は電撃文庫で「2049階の彼女」という作品を書かれた方、
イラストは鍋島テツヒロさん。　
「ある夏のお見合いと、あるいは空を泳ぐアネモイと。」のイラストも描かれています。

４つの短編で構成されている短編集といった感じで、それぞれ違う話なのですが
つながりがあります。
また、心温まる話、ホラーな感じの話など、それぞれジャンルが異なります。

設定、進行等はなかなか良かったと思いますし、読み終わった後も暖かさが
残り、なんというか暖かさに包まれるというように感じました。
個人的には３つ目の「夏休みの終わり」がこの中では一番良かったかと思います。


まだ、読んだことのない方はぜひ読んでみてください。

　若干ネタバレがある感想です。
　一つの世界内での四つの短編です。

　　1)遥か遠くの夏
　　2)無限回帰エンドロール
　　3)「夏休みの終わり」
　　4)一〇〇〇年の森

　ラノベを珍しく買ったのは、「自分の幻想が現実化する」という「幻想症候群」のコンセプトに引かれるものがあったためだ。
　1)が「つまらなくないけど読める」という感じのお話だったので、それ以降読む気が起きず、買ってからしばらく積んでいた。
　1)から二ヶ月、なんとなく2)を読んだら、これが文句をつけるのが難しい良ホラー。肌がゾクゾクした。一気に読書が加速。バトルものなら、漫画が小説の上を行くと思うが、ホラーは文字の方が怖い。見えないから。

　3)は分量的・テーマ的に本作内メインの中編。空に浮かぶ「某幻想」のインパクトによる勝利。ヒロインはつくりものっぽくて好きじゃないが、主人公視点の私小説として良作。
　陶酔した主人公が「世界は〜である」と真剣に決め付けるときの、瞬時の高揚感。
　こういう「頂」があるから、お話は良作になりえます。　
　
　4)は手塚治虫的な舞台を使った総括的な話。3)まで読んできた読者なら多少起伏のない展開でも読んでくれるだろう、と思ったか。まあ読んだし、訥々と語らなければ伝えにくい内容というのがあるのも事実だと思う。総括的な話として良い。さまざまな点でまとめの機能を果たしている。

　最後に、作中から名文を。

『自分が望む世界の有様と実際の世界の有様には深い深い溝があり、ヒトの歴史が、その溝を埋めるために費やしてきた時間の蓄積だったとしたら――。
　おそらく、幻想症候群はヒトの進化の果てにたどり着いた、思うままにならない世界への、最後の抵抗だったのかもしれません』。

短編集になっています。中編集かな？
どの文章も、短い、とつとつとした語り口と、一人称なのに三人称のような文章のスタイルで、不思議な雰囲気が増しています。
さわやかながら、何か心に残るきれいな話。
