　丸尾末広の代表作と言ってもよいでしょう。
　見せ物小屋にさらわれた少女が見る終わることがないかと思われる不幸劇。そんな生活の中に一筋の光明がさしかかったように見えるが。。。
　エログロに満たされる見せ物小屋のイメージの具現化。

　原作は昭和初期に実際にあった紙芝居だったようですが、丸尾の漫画化によって、エロスとおどろおどろしいイメージが加わり物語は加速していきます。
　生理的に受け付けない人もいるかももしれませんが、少しでも丸尾末広の世界を覗いてみたい人には、お薦めの一冊。
　実はアニメにもなりましたが、こちらは国内上映禁止になっています。

5.0 out of 5 stars 物語のシュールさと漫画絵表現としての丸尾末広の代表作, 2008/7/6
一見するとエログロナンセンスな作家に思われがちな丸尾末広。
もちろんこの作品にもグロテスクな描写がある。苦手な人は苦手かもしれない。
しかし、この本の本質はそこではない。

物語の悲劇性。絵のシュールさ。クライマックスの恐怖。
この3つに満たされた少女の悲しくて儚くて切なくて悲しいお話。「グランギニョール」
そしてワンダー正光の見せ場での言葉の真意を書き出す作者の能力はすばらしい。

私はクライマックスの光景（みどりの…）に恐怖した。あれほど自分の立っていた地面が崩れた瞬間を目にしたみどりの恐怖を絵に表した作者は天才かもしれない。

他の方も描いておられますが、かなりエログロいです。このマンガだけは友達に貸せません。
しかし、私自身「少女椿」は動画(アニメ版)から入ったので期待していたほどエログロではなかったです。アニメ版はなにより色が付いていることと、鼠が性器を食い千切るシーンから始まり漫画版での犬を踏むシーンはアニメでは内臓や眼球が飛び出ていたりと、「踏む」ではなく「踏み潰す」というように、より明確に表現されています。それを考えると漫画版は優しい方かと…

ちなみに一般的には倫理上の問題などからアニメ版は2012年まで国内での上映が禁止されています。一般的には…
