いたたましい児童殺害事件が増えてきた昨今
なにかと話題にあがる事が多くなった「ロリコン」
その歴史と実態を書き記した本
…なのですがひとつの読み物としての完成度はお世辞にも高いとは言えません。
どうも少しずつ書き溜めた文章をつなぎ合わせただけのようで
各章によって作者のスタンスが違い全体を通しての説得力がありません。
コラムもちょっと強引なものが多く最終的な結論もとってつけた感じで
文体からは作者の自己陶酔が見え隠れしています。

「ロリコン」に深く切り込んだ記述を期待して買うと肩透かしを食らうと思います。
どちらかというと世の中にはこんな人間がいる・こんな話がある
という事を書いた雑学本として読んだ方が良いのではないでしょうか。

タイトルでいきなり言い切ってしまったが、一番大きな問題だ。

はじめに「ロリコンマニアのために書いたのではない」と言い切られたので
社会問題としての「ロリコン」を客観的に捉えるような姿勢で拝読していたが、
小説ロリータの主人公のロリコン観について「あなたは、どうだろうか？」と聞いてきたり
「正しいロリコンでいるにはどうすればいいのか？」と問いかけたりする。
これは明らかに「ロリコンマニア」に向けられた言葉であるような気がするのだが…。

しかし、その一方でヒトラー、チャップリンなどの少女愛暦を引き合いに出したり
宮崎勤事件を「ロリコン犯罪」に数えたりして
「ロリコンの異常性・危険性」をバッシングしたりもする。

また、本書を読み進めると宮島鏡という人物は過去に「少女と恋愛する方法」という、
いかにもな本を出版した前歴が(平然と)明らかになる。

結局著者はロリコンをどう思っているのか、どういう立場で向き合っているのか、
それがまったくわからない。
私は、恐らく著者自信も少女愛的な興味を持ちながら、それを隠して
可能な限り犯罪研究家的に論を進めようとしたが、徹し切れなかった―
と考えているのだが・・・。
いずれにせよ、立場を明確にしなければ説得も何も無いだろう。

エッセイを集めたような感じで、各エピソードの考察が浅い。ようするに、こんなことがありましたという、孫引き本の趣が強く、少女愛を哲学的に深く追求したようなものではないので、何となく物足りなさが残る。さらに、ロリータというコンセプトを歴史軸で定義していないので、チャップリンやヒトラーのケースが、今日で言うロリータに相当するかどうか判然としない。例えば、日本では性交同意年齢を13歳と定めているが、これは我が国における村落の風習を踏まえたものである。私の祖母は15歳で、当時20歳だった祖父に嫁ぎ、16歳で子供を産んだが、これをロリータとは言わない。それから、少女しか愛せない大人は、男女格差が縮小し、女性が権力を得た結果、息子に金をつぎ込み、溺愛する母親が増えたことによってもたらされているかもしれない、という考察はちょっと保守的に過ぎないか。日本における、少女愛の系譜を、資本主義と都市化の関連で明らかにする学究的作業が必要だが、本書はそのレベルにはほど遠い。ただ、「戦時下における少女たち」というコラムはちょっと興味をそそられた。軍国少年という言葉はあっても、軍国少女というのはあまり聞いたことがないからだ。
