実際にあった少女の日記をもとにした構成になっているので非常に読みやすいです。
自分がエイズという病気だと気づいた時のショックや悲しみがリアルに感じられて、読むのが辛くなってしまう場面もありました。
少女が実際にエイズと向き合いながら、旅立つ日まで大好きな彼と懸命に行きた姿には感動します。
