コーチングのプロが書いた実践事例集。豊富な事例がとても分かりやすく記述されている。コーチング関係の本は、文字通り何十冊と読んできたが、事例の豊富さは随一だと思う。教育コーチングの第一人者ということで、生徒、子供を対象としたものが多いが、親や教育者などの大人に対する事例も少なくない。特に事例３３は、同じ小学生を子に持つ父親として、読みながら涙を滲ませてしまった。走り読みでなく、じっくりと味わいながら読んでもらいたい一冊。

【感想】
・現場の実践例に感銘を受けた
・分かりやすく、実践したくなった
・全国で実践しておられる教育者の存在が興味深かった
・学問的な信頼感と、実践的な親近感・期待感があった
・本物だと感じた
・子どもの潜在力の大きさに感動した
・子どもの力を自分でも引き出したくなった
・もっと早くに読みたかった
・大切な人にプレゼントしたくなった

私は６歳の息子がいます。また、仕事では小学生から高校生までの学習指導をしています。
この本での実践とは、正反対のこともよくしています。でも何度も読んで、現場で実践して
いくつもりです。教育の本質を深く知ることができ、感謝多謝です。

実例が豊富で、
コーチ像がイメージできました。

読み終わった後は、すっかり名コーチ気分で、
子どもと話したくなります。

学校の先生向けの本なので、
始めは少しとっつきにくいと感じましたが
自宅でできるワークも紹介されていて、
面白いです。

現実には、子どもと思うような関係が作れないことも多いですが、
ワークの実践を始めてから、
感情的になって子どもを怒るということが減ったと思います。
