76年作。ポリドールへ移籍してからはオーケストラとの共演をしていなかった彼らだったが、本作では久々にオーケストラと共演、更には混声合唱団も用いるなど、幻想的・神秘的・雄大なイメージが強い。基本的にはまったりしてポップで繊細、いつも通りに素晴らしいメロディーセンスを発揮。
「The world goes on」はオーケストラと共演、優しいボーカル、スケールの大きい曲。ギターも要所要所で印象的なプレイを見せる。「May Day」はメッセージ性の強い内容。落ち着きのあるボーカル、穏やかなサウンドだが、所々でオルガン・ギターがパワフルさを増し盛りあがる。後半は荘厳な混声合唱が湧き起こり、圧倒される。「Ra」はエジプトの太陽神ラーが題材。そのせいかやたらと仰々しい冒頭と終幕だが、ボーカルパートは触れれば壊れてしまいそうな繊細さ。キーボードに支えられ、けたたましく吠えるギターがカッコイイ。「Rock’n’ Roll Star」は爽やかでほんのり切ない。ウエストコーストロックの影響が滲む。「Polk Street Rag」は下世話な歌詞。ポップで元気の良いロックンロール。「Believe in me」はおセンチなメロディーが良い。「Suicide?」は曲だけ聞いていると美しく感動的なのだが、歌詞は非常にダークなストーリー、更にエンディングには歌詞の物語をたどっていくような効果音が2分半ほど続く。

私が考えるプログレのイメージとは、静かで荘厳なキーボード主体の
アレンジのメロディにのせて訳のわからない歌詞を歌うというものですが
よく考えると英国４大プログレバンドと呼ばれる（クリムゾン、イエス
フロイド、ＥＬＰ）にはそういうドンピシャな曲はほとんどありません。
そうするとどうして私の頭にあるプログレがそうなるのかという疑問は

ありますが、こういう地味なバンドのイメージが増幅されているのでしょう。
そういう訳で私が考えるまさにプログレと呼べる曲が満載というか
そんな同じような曲ばかり続きます。
リラックスしたい時には必需品。
星４つは私個人の思い入れ。こういう音楽が苦手の人には退屈きわまり
ないであろう好き嫌いがはっきり分かれるアルバムでしょう。
