1948年、イタリア生まれ。ラカン派精神分析家。ラカンの後継者であるジャック=アラン・ミレールらと共にパリ第8大学で教鞭をとり、その後、ブラジルに渡ってラカン派の中心として活躍中

小出 浩之
1943年生まれ。名古屋大学医学部卒業。現在、岐阜大学医学部教授。精神医学(精神病理学、精神分析学)。ラカンの「セミネール」シリーズをはじめとして、ラカン関係の数多くの著作の翻訳者として知られるラカン研究の第一人者

西尾 彰泰
1972年生まれ。精神科医。愛媛大学医学部卒業。パリ第7大学精神分析学部博士課程、岐阜大学医学部助手を経て、現在、同大学非常勤講師、須田病院勤務(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

簡単だからといって、薬物を用いて患者の妄想を除去するのが間違いである、ということを指摘している。妄想は、排除された父の名（父の否）の場（穴）を（とりあえず）埋めており、精神分析医は、患者と一緒になって妄想の体系を構築し、精神を安定させるという極めて暖かい治療方針が述べられている。南米のラカン研究のレベルの高さが分かる一冊。ナシオ・カリガリス・ヴァポー（数学者）といった人々が南米のラカン研究の中心メンバーか。難解なラカン理論は、臨床に役立たないなどというトンチンカンな批判は、この本における豊富な症例研究によって封殺される。なお、この本はカリガリスが責任をもって、Navarinから出版された「精神病」の研究書だが、同様に、神経症および倒錯の研究書も出版されている―しかし、神経症および倒錯の研究書の方は、論文集である（この本は論文集ではない）―。精神病を発症していない段階（前精神病段階）でも、精神病だと診断可能だ、という点など興味深い。ラカン派では、精神病・神経症・倒錯を「構造的に」区別できるという立場に立つ。境界例などといういい加減な診断カテゴリーを作って、誤魔化すようなことはしない。最後に、翻訳は若手が殆ど行っており、若手の仕事を老年教授が搾取強奪するという医学界の悪しき慣習は捨てた方がよいだろう。何も仕事していないのに翻訳者として名前を載せるのは恥を知るべし。
