印象的な書き出しで始まる、女性一人称で描かれた作品の数々。
やわらかな雰囲気の中に、切実な女性の心情を織り出した珠玉の短篇集。

ひとり静かな気持ちで読みたい一冊。

この本は、太宰お得意の女性告白体の短編集ですが、とくに表題作『女生徒』が名作だと思います。ある女学生の朝起きてから夜寝るまでを描いた作品なのですが、どの一文を取ってもユーモアや思想性に富み、何度読み返しても味わい深い傑作です。
最近、写真家とのコラボ本が出ましたが、まず最初に活字のみで読むことをオススメします！

太宰の隠れた傑作！がこの本ではないかと思います。確かに「人間失格」「走れメロス」などの世間で絶賛されている作品もよいでしょう。ですが特に女性にはこの本をお勧めします。短編から構成される手軽さもよいです。ストーリーも表現も、女性なら誰もが共感できることばかりのように思いますし、現代人が忘れがちな純粋な気分に浸ることができます。
