未菜の悲しみや孤独が、前田亜季さんの演技からとてもよく伝わってきます。凄い女優さんだと思いました。ようやく仲間に気持ちが伝わったのは、学校を辞めることに決めた後。最後の夜、弦一郎と孤独や想いを共有して心を満たされた未菜の、頬に流れる涙。ラストシーン、早朝の電車内で未菜が見せる表情は、悲しみも孤独も溶かしたような、去来する様々な想いも流れていくような・・・。ちゃんと前を向いて、リップクリームを塗って、という未菜の眼差しに、私は完全に引き込まれてしまいました。作品としても素晴らしいですが、彼女のファンなら感動もはかり知れないと思います。

亜季ちゃんの他のDVD、「亜季　Function」には「女学生の友」の＜撮影日記＞がのっています。このDVDを見るにあたって、そちらも見てみることをお勧め。
撮影秘話などが聞けて楽しいです。多少なり見方も変わります。

原作小説をドラマ化しただけあって、見ごたえのある内容となっている。キャスティングの妙もあるが、それぞれの役者が心の動きを適格に表現している。特に山崎努と前田亜季が表現する孤独は、多くの人間に内在される『家庭内での孤独』という点で共感を得るものであろう。

筆者は原作を読んでいないが、だからこそ楽しめる部分もあったのかもしれないと感じる所である。
