5.0 out of 5 stars ハウツウ物のベスト本, 2006/6/3
題名は軽いが、よく読むと、熟年離婚を考えている人間にとっては、極めて親切な解答が得られる。何より、具体的な事例が提示されているため、身近な情報が用意されている。法律や訴訟問題に暗くても、懇切なアドバイスが身に沁みる。現実には、専門家にじかに接しなくてはならない事柄が、恥を曝すこともなく、相談出来る筆法になっている。著者自身は、人生経験も知恵もないと「まえがき」で書いているが、どうしてどうして、その親身な語り口は知恵者そのものである。ケーススタディを担当した弁護士を始めとする各専門家の力量が、本書の説得力を支えているのであろう。女性よりもむしろ男性に勧めたい一冊と言えよう。

本書の源になっている朝日新聞土曜日版be紙面で１７０回以上連載が続くコラム「お金の悩み・彼女の場合」は、毎回様々なケーススタディを通して、お金に関係する悩みをわかりやすく説いてくれているので大変参考になっていました。本書は、そのうち特に読者の関心が高い「離婚」をテーマにしたケーススタディをまとめ、関連する法律、税務、年金、公的支援などの情報を大幅に加筆したものです。これだけ各分野の情報をコンパクトにまとめたものは見あたらず、１冊あれば何かと便利な本だと思います。また、たんなるノウハウ本が多いなか、本書はノウハウ情報だけにとどまらず、ケーススタディの会話やシーンなどから、「うちもこんな会話している」「身につまされる」「彼に読ませてやりたい」などと思うこともよくあり、ケーススタディだけを読み通しても、結構楽しめると思います。ふだんは相談者のカウンセリングに従事する著者は、決して離婚を勧めるのではなく、時々脆くなる夫婦の姿をどうしたら成長させていけるかという問題意識をベースに持っていることも感じられ、安心して読める１冊だと思います。
