これだけキャリアも長く、ある程度の年齢（失礼！）に差し掛かっているにも関わらずちょっと恥ずかしいタイトルに違和感を覚えないのは圧倒的に声に曲にプレイに力があるから。ファンとしてはまたタイアップ？な感じですが、思わず口ずさみたくなる中毒性あるサビにやられます。

スピッツは（今も昔も）絶え間無く次々と名曲を世に送り出してはいるけれど、こんな突き抜け方は久々！サビメロの裏を走り抜ける「キュイ〜ィン」というギターが心地良い。演奏もヴォーカルも瑞々しい。さらには今回“も”歌詞がいい！

「理想の世界じゃないけど　大丈夫そうなんで」。そうなのだ、c/wの『オケラ』でも描かれているけれど、現実は「しょっぱいスープを飲」むような毎日。けれども、なぜだかどうやら自分は生きている。「崇高なる願望」と「ちょっと妄想」をオカズにしながら、何も無かったように高笑いして青い芝生を転がってゆくのだ。笑い疲れて見上げれば、真上には太陽がある。スピッツが開け放った窓の光があまりにも眩しくて、ついつい何度もリピート、リピート。いやー、素敵！聴いているだけで嬉しくなっちゃう大名曲が誕生です。やったぜ、スピッツ！

2番に「夢じゃない」ってあるけど、楽曲の「夢じゃない」を発表した頃よりもスピッツは相当タフになった気がします。

「夢じゃない」では妄想の世界に浸かりながらも「夢じゃない」って自分に言い聞かせているように感じました。
今回の「君は太陽」では「ヒレを想像したり」しているものの、妄想の世界に逃げこむのではなく、あくまで現実と向き合っているように思えます。

この曲を初めて聴いた時、歌詞はくすぐるフレーズはちりばめられているんだけれど、昔のように一節で心を持ってかれるような魅力を感じず、曲に関しても「ちょっとポップすぎないか?」と思い、 「物足りない」が正直な感想でした。
でも、そこはスピッツ。 不思議な中毒性があり気がつけば「なるほど、そうかそうか〜」の部分が頭から離れず、結局最近ずっとヘビロテしてます。

カップリングの「オケラ」は他の方も仰ってましたが、初期スピッツ臭が漂い、なんだかスピオタ受けしそうな楽曲なので「君は太陽」がちょっと違うと思った方もまずは一聴してみてください。
