13年ぶりに聴き、両曲ともやはりいい曲だなと素直に思えました。
今日改めて注目してるのは石井氏の歌声です。その綺麗さや柔らかさ、更に響きが鳴らせている点、
おまけに歌声の表情が誰よりも豊かなところとか。それら全て、改めて注目されてもよいポイントだなと。

何故ならそんな歌手って、今のバンドブーム、HIPHOP全盛期に、なかなかいないと思うからです。
石井さんってよく歌謡曲的な唄もこなすじゃないですか。でも、それがなかなかいい筋を持ってるんですよね。
それって、彼だけのいわゆる“歌心”的なものがしっかりあるから、自由な表現を声色の中に込められるのかな、と。
そういうメロを奏でる美的センスが、この曲にはたっぷり溢れているなあ、と今聴きながら浸っています。

90年代は思い返せば歌の上手い歌手が多く、歌の上手さについてどうこうということは、特段気付きませんでした。
あの頃、僕はこの曲を知らなくてクラスの友達たちがそのメロを歌ってるのを聞き、
すごい耳馴染みやすいメロディと、それにのった“たとえば 君がいるだけで”という言葉のインパクトに、ビビっときたものです。
このメロと言葉が一緒になったときの魔法はすごい威力を発揮していますね。

2曲目の「愛してる」もA面なみに当時の街角で流れまくっていました。

「君がいるだけで」って、その言葉自体で私、なんか感動しちゃって・・・。でも、現実は厳しいよね！！！
「めぐり逢った時のように　いつまでも変わらずに・・・」って難しいよ！！！そんなカップルどれだけいるんだ？？？！！！うーん・・・。
これは別に批判してるんではなくて、自省を込めて・・・！！！
「愛してる」もいい歌だよ！！！
