　若い世代の人々であれば、性的指向の如何に関わらず、一度は読んでみて欲しい本です。　　確かに「内外のゲイムーブメントの流れ」から「カミングアウト」、「親との関係」、「老後」、「セックス」、「友情」、「性感染症」、「レズビアン＆ゲイ・スタディーズ」まで、男同士の性愛をめぐる様々なトピックをわかりやすく解説してあり、ゲイシーン、ゲイライフ全般を概観できて、色々と参考になります。しかしながら、本来「西洋社会」のように宗教的な偏見の無い日本に於いて、何故に未だに同性間の婚姻権が認められないままでいるのか、また同性間婚姻権が大きな政治的・社会的問題として取り上げられないでいるのか、という甚だ重要なポイントをもっと鋭く剔抉して頂きたかったものです。

初心者向けの本として必要な情報が網羅されていて最適。
そうでない人にとっても、パレードのグラビアは感動！だし、
（イケメンがいっぱい写っている！）
エッセイとしても面白く読める。
表紙のゲイの人が農業を地方でやっているということに、
感慨がありましたね。
こういう本って、差別がこんなに大変で……という感じで暗いのだけど、

これは勇気づけられるし、明るい展望が持てる。

読んでいて実にこみいったところまで理解を深めるところができました。
個人的にはゲイの老後についての分析が実に面白かったです。
伏見氏の見解にはいつもながら驚かされます。
わかりやすい上、実に間口の広い入り口を提供してくれます。
まさにタイトルに偽りなし。
