もう９年も前に予言されていた内容は、現在の状況に照らし合わせると異様にリアルです。
（1999年度版の復刻ですが、内容が加筆されているようなのでこちらの方がお勧めです）
「どすこい 出版流通」で紹介されていたので、すぐに読んでみてビックリしました。
何の手も打たれなければ間違いなく、このまま業界の状況は尻蕾で死んで行くのでしょうね。
本好きにはどうしようもない状況です。
流通手段の消滅ならば話はまだマシ（？）ですが、出版社の消滅も同時に進んでいるというのは絶望的です...
一読者の私達も問題意識を持たねばいけないのではないかと...！？
結局は私達、読者に戻ってくる問題ですから。
（この本では「読者」と「消費者」とは違う意味で定義されているようです）

取次、出版社、本屋の財務状況がこんなに悪化しているとは...
チェーン店の「飛ばし」は、本当に文章にしていいのか...？過激な内容です。
極論で、出版社が潰れても読者はそんなに困らない。今までに出た本でも読書は続けられるのでは？
と書かれていますが、近年の程度の低い新刊本の嵐を考えると、皮肉にも確かにそうかもしれません...
すぐに「出版業界の危機と社会構造」を注文しました。
