世界で唯一、合法の「児童性愛愛好者協会」。取材班は、手始めにぼくを児童性愛者として会に送り込むことを決定した。初めて出席する会合にそなえて、ぼくは児童性愛をとりあげた本を手当たり次第に読みあさった。インテリぶった理論的考察や、児童性愛者を頭から「変質者」と決めつけて身の毛のよだつ話に仕立てあげたものはたくさんあった。だが、秘密裡の生活を送る彼らの実像に迫るものは、まったくといってよいほどなかった。ペドファイルという言葉は、「子どもを愛する人」という意味のギリシャ語に由来する。性欲の対象が子どもだけに向かう彼らは、「一般の」人々とかけ離れたタイプと思われているが、実はそうではない。たとえば少女を誘拐し、森でレイプする男だけが児童性愛者なのではない。その一方で、彼ら自身といえば、“世間から偏見を受けている者”として自分たちを見なしていた。児童性愛者のネットワークに潜入するには、ぼく自身がペドファイルになりきらねばならなかった。ぼくは、「もう一人のぼく」への変身を準備していった…。

詳細なデータや幼児性愛の歴史が記載されているわけではなく、
外国の記者が幼児性愛の会合に潜入しその姿を追うという
ドキュメントを小説のように綴られているだけなので、
児童性愛という病をデータの方向から知りたいと言う方には向きません。
しかし、それでも読み進めて行けばリアルな外国の幼児性愛者の現状・・
法的活動規制やポルノ収集、そして売春など・・
といった幼児性愛者の実情は知ることが出来ます。
しかし、幼児性愛というと偏見で凶悪殺人などを並べバッシングをする姿勢を
前提とし、自論だけを書き連ねている本も多いので
当事者の会合や活動、内心告白などが載せられている点は貴重だと思います。

本書はあるジャーナリストの潜入取材の記録なので小難しい分析やら、理論は出て来ません。至って「ノーマル」な人間が「異常」性癖の持ち主達と接触して混乱していく様が描かれています。ペドファイル達の身勝手さ、おぞましさ、そして被害者である子供達の苦痛を目の当たりにした普通の人の普通の反応で本書は構成されています。またあくまで本書は問題提起にすぎず、何がしかの「答え」も出されていません。より多くの人がこの問題に関心を持ち、風化させない事が本書の目的である、とも言えます。異常性癖に「理解を示さない」側の人間が書いているので耳障りに思う向きもあるでしょうが、そういう方は鏡を見るつもりで読むとよろしいかと。

デンマークの「児童性愛愛好者協会」にこっそり潜入した、ヤコブ・ビリングのルポ。
君は男の子が好き？女の子が好き？僕はどっちでもいけるんだ。年齢は11歳くらいがいいな…うんちょうどいいね、それ以上はダメだ…
まるで好きなセットメニューを選ぶかのような会話。
デンマークだけではなく、スウェーデン、インドへも飛ぶ。
まさかこんな子どもが性的に好きな人が多くいる事実のほかに、
それが世界各地のネットワークでとんでもない繋がりがあることが分かる。
別に彼らはなりたくてなったわけではないだろうし、その苦悩もあるんだろうけど、
被害を考えるととんでもないことだ。
日本人もアジアで買春が多いらしいニュースは見るけど…
際どい子どものDVDも、親が売り込みにくるのが現実らしいし。
