アフタヌーンで連載されていた「菫画報」で小原 愼司さんのファンに、なったのですがそれ以降作品を拝見する機会がなくさびしく思っていました。もちろん、真のファンの方は、ちゃんと掲載誌であるフラッパーをご存知だと思いますが、私のように地方でフラッパーの存在を知らず、コミックでその存在を知った方もいると思います。「菫画報」でも時々見られた仮想世界が、より魅力的になっています。二十面相というタイトルをつけるに恥ずかしくない内容となっていますので、小原 愼司さんのファンはもちろんのこと、二十面相で検索してこの存在を知ったような江戸川乱歩先生のファンのかたにも、ぜひ読んでいただきたい。なお純粋に本編となる内容は途中で次巻へ持ち越しとなり最後には
少し、設定の異なる読み切りが収録されています。

小原さん初の続きもの。ということになるんだろうか。
世界観、ストーリー展開も独特であるが好感が持てる。
キャラクターの個性のよさ、含みの深さもいいんじゃないだろうか。
今後も楽しみにしてて、期待を裏切らないレベルは達しているでしょう。

こう言った、絶対メジャーなものにはならないだろうが。
キラリと光る個性と言うのは重要ですね。

読者に迎合せず、自分の描きたいものを続けていく
と言う精神は敬服します。

個性は漫画文化を広げ深めてくれるポイントです。
スーパーメジャーの定番は、ほっておいてこの様な本を、是非買い支えてください。

作中で「二十面相」と呼ばれる男に「自ら名乗ったことは無い」「世間が私をそう呼んでいるだけ」と言わせているのは作者の謙虚さ、もしくは乱歩の創作に対する畏敬の現れ、そして著作権上の配慮であろうと想像していたが、実際にはキチンと正式に、乱歩の遺族に名称使用の許可を取っているとのこと。

昨今の尊法意識の希薄な業界において、怪盗を語る（皮肉なことだ）この物語の作り手たちの姿勢の正しさにまず驚かされた。
敬意を持って、この正統「二十面相の娘」の行く末を見守りたいと思う。
