昔、下北沢の近くに住んでいたので読んでいて思わず懐かしくなりました。下北沢には本当に劇団がたくさんあります。話の中ではそのなかの一つの劇団員の話。下北沢ってなぜか夢を追える街だし、いい設定だなと思いました。下北沢のよさも伝わってきてよかったです。

なんの捻りもない、直球そのままな本である。
10年下積みが続いてる劇団に新人の女の子が入ってきて、メジャーに駆け上がっていく過程と葛藤の物語。

頑張ってさえいれば、成功する、というものじゃない。
じゃぁ、成功するためには、何をしたらいいのだろうか。
「頑張り」＋「？？？」＝成功するには、きっと「風」が吹く。
でも頑張ってないと、そのチャンスさえも訪れてこない。
だから、頑張る。

とにかく、裏もひねりも無く、素直っていえば本当に素直な本。
最近めずらしいかもしれない。

テレビドラマの原作となっている作品。下北沢を活動拠点とする劇団内部の人間関係と成長を描いている。ただ、その内容は薄っぺらく、展開もあまりにもご都合主義。最近の石田氏の作品には正直落胆させられる事が多い。唯一救いなのは、お得意の脇役のキャラクター造形だろう。
劇団を中心とした作品なのに、演劇シーンがあまりにも稚拙なのも如何なものか。

青春サクセスストーリーなのだけど、ビターな部分もあって面白い作品だった。
サンデーズのメンバーのその後があ気になるので続編が読みたくなる作品だ。
