日本を長らく離れているせいか、懐古趣味を抱き始めて思わず手にしたこの作品。コミック誌などは普段読まないので、「三丁目の夕日」という作品がロングセラーだということさえも知らなかった。

読みはじめたら、これまた、心に「ジ〜ン」とくるお話ばかりで、涙腺が緩むこともしばしば。通勤時に人前はばからず涙するわけにもいかず、読み進むのに時間がかかってしまった。最近の若い世代のマンガは、コマ割など縦横無尽、画風もアクションも洗練されたものが多いが、こういった、背景をしっかり書き込む昔ながらのマンガは、やっぱり読みごたえがあるな、と感じた。

僕自身は単なる団塊ジュニアだが、戦後まもない朴訥な昭和、家族や友達への絆がより強かった時代に、説明し難い憧れを持つ人には、絶対にお薦めな本である。

話は心に染み渡る、すてきな作品ばかりです。
老若男女問わず、安心してお勧めします。
そして映画を見た事のある方は、この本の表紙を見たとたん
「あのシーンを表紙に持って来たかぁ」と感動すること請け合い。
今の時代だからこそ読んで欲しい。

舞台は昭和30年代の日本。この時代は今のように物が豊かではなく食事とか全くと豪華じゃありません。
しかし、読むかぎり今のように犯罪が少なかったのかな? と思ったりします。物は豊かじゃなかったけど、皆それなりに暮らしていたんだな、と重いました。内容の方は楽しくあれば、時にジーンとくる話もあります。現在、映画が上映されていますが、映画より原作(コミック)の方がオススメです。
