まず『序』の時に別仕様で2種類のCDをリリースした点を改善し『破』では最初から１つのパッケージでリリースしてくれた事は非常に嬉しく思います。

収録曲に関してはリメイク的な印象が強く新規の曲は微々たる物であった『序』に比べると『破』は新規BGMの比率が格段に増えています。
・映画冒頭の仮設５号機VS第３の使徒戦で流れる「At The Very Beginning」。
・第７の使徒襲来時の「L'Agresseur」
・第８の使徒戦でエヴァが街を駆け抜けるシーンで流れた「Destiny」と、使徒を受け止め殲滅するまでの間に流れる「Fate」。
・第１０の使徒出現時に流れる「In My Spirit」。
・次いでジオフロント侵攻時に流れる「Keep Your Heads Above The Mayhem」。
・更に２号機のビーストモード発動シーンで流れる予告編でもお馴染みの「The Final Decision We All Must Take」。
・そして初号機がセントラルドグマから第１０の使徒をジオフロントまで押し戻し活動停止するまでの間に流れた「Carnage」。
オーケストラ編成を駆使した荘厳かつ重厚感溢れる新曲の数々は鳥肌物です!!。

勿論、既存の名BGMの数々もパワーアップして収録され、
・２号機初登場シーンで流れる「Ambassadrice Rouge」。
・３号機暴走時に流れる「Les Btes」。
・零号機が取り込まれる場面の「Evanescence:mouvement 3」
・初号機が覚醒し第１０の使徒を圧倒する場面で流れる「Sin From Genesis」。
どれも新規BGMに負けない力強い存在感を見せてくれる。

挿入歌として印象深い「今日の日はさようなら」「翼をください」や本編で使用された『カレカノ』のBGMも納められ、非常に密度の濃いサントラとなっており聴いていると劇場で体感したあの感動と興奮が蘇ります!!。

唯一残念な点としてはテーマ曲「宇多田ヒカル／Beautiful World -PLANiTb Acoustica Mix」が入っていない事くらいでしょうか?。
『序』のサントラでは大月Pが相手レコード会社と折衝して『Beautiful World』も収録されていましたが今回はダメだったみたいです。

久々にATRACでもMP3でもなく、CD音源を堪能した。かなり聴き応えのあるサントラです。

まず、TV版オリジナル楽曲の素性の良さを再確認。それらが映像同様、パワーアップして
いるので、懐かしくも新鮮な聴き心地です。新曲も全体にゴージャスで映像同様、情報量
が多いです。

「今日の日は〜」や「翼をください」に話題が行きがちですが、個人的に映画館で一番虚を
衝かれたのが「YAMASHITA」w
他の人も触れてますが、昭和邦画の名作「太陽を盗んだ男」の印象的なメロディがCGで
構築された第三新東京市の風景に使われるとは…しかも見事にマッチしている。
あまりにそっくりなので、劇場ではオリジナルをそのまま流用したのかと勘違いしてしまい
ましたが、ライナーで説明されている通り、「完コピ」で新規に再現してます。二重の驚きです。
思わず「太陽を盗んだ男」のサントラと聴き比べてしまいました。ちなみにオリジナルの方では
このメロディ、更にいろんなアレンジで聴くことができます。

他にも劇中で使われた「翼をください」などのバックコーラスであえて「日本語を母国語としない
子供たち」を使い、あの不安定な感じを表現しているなど、ライナーを読んでいくと「なるほど、
そうか」と納得するところが多いです（CDには日本の少年少女合唱団を使ったバージョンも収録）。

ぜひ「破」を見てから、特に2回以上見てから聞いて頂きたいCDです。
なぜ2回以上が尚良いかと言うと、OSTを聞いた時に鮮明な映像が浮かび上がる程に
映像と音楽を密着させて聞いてほしいからです。

最初の"At The Very Beginning"から鳥肌がぞわぞわと立ちます。
どの1曲1曲をとっても格好良すぎ。私は特に第三新東京市の朝のテーマを聞いてこのOSTを
購入しようと思いました。
また、とある使徒の為に三体のエヴァが爆走するシーン、そして受け止めるシーンのBGMでは
鳥肌が暫く止んでくれなくて劇場で困りました。こんな現象初めて。
あの映画のワンシーンは勿論の事、音楽としての構成、音色、全てが人の感性を刺激するものではないかと思います。
今回はコーラスが多々使用された音楽が沢山あり、なかなか荘厳な造りとなっています。
映画館の興奮を今一度噛みしめさせてくれる貴重な一枚。
買って損はないです！どんなCDよりもリピートして聞きたくなること間違いなし！
