今まで聴いたジョンレノンのアルバムの中で一番気に入ってます。
構成は決して安易なものではないと思うし、
いかにもベストって感じの力みもなく
決してラフすぎるわけでもない。
ちょうどいい力加減。ジャケも好き。

オリジナルより力の抜けた歌声は
普段着の人柄を身近に感じられます。
特に７　oh my love はイマジンで聴いていたけど
名曲加減を再確認させられました。

２１　の弾き語りブルースもすごくいい。
あまりに自由な節回しはオリジナル盤では聴けない
ジョンレノンの魅力のひとつだと思います。

　僕は、時々思うのだけれど、BeatlesとしてのJohnはともかくも、解散後のジョンの「作品」は、ジョン自身が存命中であったときよりもはるか多いのではないかと思う。
　手を変え品を変え、ジョン自身が発売をためらったアウトテイクや、
未発表と称する「作品」が、「ジョンの作品」として売られている。

　著作権には、財産的な部分があるが、他方、「人格権」もあるのだ。ジョンの作品、演奏は、相続の対象ではあるが、それを発表するか否かは、ジョンの一身に専属する。
　まさか４０歳で死亡するとは思っていなかったという状況はあるとしても、ジョンが、このような作品の発表を望んだのだろうか？

　僕は、正直言って、疑問だ。
　缶コーヒーのＣＭのジョンも、その意思に沿ってるか疑問だ。

はっきり言って「またですか？」というのが正直な感想です。
Johnのベスト盤は「焼き直し」やサウンドトラックも含めて何作目でしょうか。
確かに新しい音源が見つかれば聞いてみたいと思うのは本音ですが、
今回のはどうなんでしょうか？

尾崎豊と同じで、死んでしまった後で故人の意図しないアルバムが発行され、
オリジナル作品がかすんでしまうのは、ちょっと寂しい思いです。
私個人としては、許せたのは「Imagine」のサウンドトラックまでですね。
