デヴィッド・フォスターのプロデュース作品として、加えて弾きまくるスティーヴ・ルカサーのギター・プレイを楽しむことができる作品として、古くからのAORファンの間で有名なアルバムだ。ほかに参加メンバーはTOTOを中心としたロス周辺の凄腕の面々。もともと黒人音楽のど真ん中で活動していた時期もあるだけに、黒っぽい曲は大のお得意だし、エアプレイの系譜を引くハード・ポップ路線のサウンドにもピッタリのヴォーカルを聴かせている。バラードも上手い。ハード系AORファンにドンピシャ。 (大江田信) --- 2002年10月号

KGBから聴いてる方はそのサウンド豹変ぶりと垢抜けたジャケに驚いたことでしょう。

TOTO、フォスターを核にしたLA系ミュージシャンで固め、特にルカサーは弾きまくっています。
これで一気にAORファンも掴みました。

ハードさだけではなくセンチなバラードも聴かせる、録音が良いので何十年たった今でも新鮮に聴けます。

後に84年のスーパーロック、幻のMSG即席ヴォーカルにてキャリアに汚点を残してしまいましたが、KGBとソロで残した作品は紛れもない名作。

中でもこの作品は曲、監督、録音、演奏と全てが仕上がり良な作品です。

かなり古いアルバムですが、ハードロックありバラードありの
ハスキーボイスですから、ノリはいいと思いますよ。日本でもたしか日本青年館でコンサートもやった人です。パーラメントのCM曲に使われた「Just for the moment」,八神純子がカバーした原曲の「You oughta know by now」あたりは秀逸。1もハードで良い。バックもSルカサー、Jワインディング、Tピアーズなど超凄腕ばかり！　現在は米国でプロデューサー兼カントリーシンガーとして、「What a way to go」や「Guitar man」といったアルバムでかなり渋い声を披露している。
